We are going to WDW January 2-5 2013. How do the crowds the first week in January compare with the rest of the month traditionally? Is this still considered the holiday season or the low season? Thanks!

    Hi Dayna,

January is considered the low season especially when you are going after New Year's Day.  The crowd level will be lower than that the week before especially with some children going back to school.  The Walt Disney World Marathon is the next weekend (January 10-13) so you will not have those crowds to deal with as well.  I think this is a great time to go!  The weather can be variable with highs in the lower 70s and lows into the 40s but I have been there when it has been in the 30s.  I would advise dressing in layers especially once the sun goes down.  The Holiday decorations will be up until January 4th or 5th so you will still be able to see all the beautiful decorations.  I know you will have such a magical vacation, Dayna.  Please let me know if I can help you further with you vacation!
