we are at WDW from Jan5-10, arriving at 11:30, the day we get in AK has EMH's, some of the posts I have seen on here say not to go to a park the day you arrive, but since we are only there a few days, wouldn't you recommend going? DD's are 5 and 9, stay@GF

    Hi Virginia,

I can't keep my kids out of a theme park on our arrival day, even if we arrive late in the day.  In fact, one trip, we headed to the Magic Kingdom for Extra Magic Evening Hours, and arrived after 10pm.  (I'm not sure I'd win mom-of-the-year honors for that decision, but we were on vacation!)  As long as you are willing to use a park ticket for park of a day, I think it's a great idea to head to a park.  You really aren't arriving late, so you'll have plenty of time to ride some attractions and even have dinner at a park.

    Have a great time!
