Hi. Will be at WDW for the first time this Fri Jan 30. Would like to do a challenge for DS(7) and DD(10) at AK. Could you tell me 10 animals that they could easily find on the tree of life. Also do you have other suggestion for challenge at other park

    Hi Josee,

What a great and fun idea. With over three hundred animals carved into this magnificient tree you could also make a list of any animal and be able to find it. Some of the ones that our family have found easily noticeable include: the hippo, tiger, owl, iguana, turtle, elephant, chimpanzee, buffalo, seahorse, rhino and a bat. These are not all in the same location and you may need to spend a little time examing the tree from different angles, but you should be able to see these as well as numerous other creatures, fairly easily.

A great idea for a Disney challenge at any park as well as the resorts is the Hidden Mickeys. These are subtle (sometimes little and sometimes quite large) images that have been left behind by Disney Imagineers to bring a touch of Mickey to what they have created. There is a great book, written by Steve Barrett, that can be found at most bookstores and on WDW's property called Hidden Mickeys. This book includes a long list of hints and treasure hunts that your family can enjoy while searching for Mickey. A great place to learn addtional information about this very popular hunt is at www.hiddenmickeysguide.com. Be warned though, this hunt proves to be very addictive and you will be amazed how quickly you start to see Mickey everywhere!

    Happy hunting !
