    Nicole Asked

Going to WDW in Feb. on a budget-splitting our time on/off the grounds. 2-3 nights on grounds with 3 & 8 yr old. We considering Pop Century or POFQ. Worth the extra $ for POFQ? what are the pros of each resort-room size, Transportation, pool, extras,

Hola, Nicole! Pop Century and Port Orleans French Quarter are two of my favorite resorts on property while being mindful of the pocket book. (That's a euphemism for me saying I'm cheap.)

One of the things I like about both of them is that there is one central pick up and drop off location for the busses to and from the parks. Pop Century doesn't share its busses with anyone (unlike the other Value resorts.) Port Orleans French Quarter sometimes shares its busses with Port Orleans Riverside.

In terms of what you get at Port Orleans French Quarter (the moderate) compared to Pop Century (the value) - aside from the extra cost - is this:
    • Towel service at the pool + a water slide at the pool
    • Larger rooms
    • Two sinks and a privacy curtain for the vanity area
    • A mini fridge
    • A mini coffee marker (and coffee brew packs)
    • Beignets
    • People (i.e. me) acting out full scenes from Princess and the Frog (I do a wicked rendition of Ray singing My Evangeline)
If you are concerned about cost, I'd wholeheartedly recommend Pop Century.
