We will be in WDW in early Feb. with the family to celebrate my Mother-in-Law's 80th b-day. She and my Father-In-Law will have the Dining plan. We'd like to plan some very special evenings for them, alone and with the kids, aged 19 mos-5. Any ideas?

What a fun milestone to celebrate in Disney World!

With the kids, I'd definitely recommend a meal at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.  It's a very fun birthday location - they will sing and dance and bring her a cupcake, and the whole restaurant gets into the celebration.

Another great place we like to eat with our kids (or without!) is O'Hana in the Polynesian Resort.  They have hula hoop contests, coconut races, live music, and lots of fun for kids and adults alike.  They also have fantastic food and a great view of the Magic Kingdom.  This is especially nice to watch Wishes, if your reservation is timed right.

For a very special evening for the two of them, perhaps consider Victoria & Albert's in the Grand Floridian.  Dressed in their finest attire, with a harpist, award-winning food and wine, and an oh-so-elegant atmosphere, I'm sure your in-laws will fall in love all over again.

Another place for an intimate meal is the California Grill in the Contemporary Resort. Again they can take advantage of the fantastic Magic Kingdom view, and the food is excellent.  The restaurant is less formal than V&A, and requires only business casual attire.

Enjoy your vacation, and Happy Birthday to your mother-in-law!
