Will be at wdw from the 22nd to the 27th of december, any suggestions on what to do during the 6days at the 4 parks with an 11yrsold daughter? Also would it make sense to have base park tickets or should I add park hopper option given the holiday season?

    Hi Melecia,

You are visiting during one of my most favorite times at WDW when everything is more magical and beautiful; however, you will have some days at the parks that will be pretty crowded.  To help make the most of your days and keep your waits in line as short as possible, I'd encourage you to visit which offers over 100 well-researched itineraries as well as advice as to what parks to visit and what parks to avoid on specific days.  If you have a smart phone, you can also utilize their app so that you can check wait times for attractions.  I'd also encourage you to visit the parks when they open in the morning and try to grab as many fast passes as possible (the itineraries provided suggest what attractions to get the fast passes from and when). I do need to note that there is a small fee, but one that I think worthwhile.

We personally like park hoppers because we always have the freedom to move, but often during these crowded days moving from one park may just mean to another crowded park.  Also, some of the parks may close because they reach capacity, so it may be a gamble leaving one park hoping to get into another. Since you can upgrade after you arrive, you may want to make the decision once you get a sense of the crowds and how much you are accomplishing.

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel; if you have other questions or would like ideas about holiday must-sees, please let us know.  Have a magical trip!
