Hi, Going to WDW in December. Have not used the magic bands before. I am concerned with a 13 year old losing it. I can't tell how they are made, or if I need to be concerned if it is lost that someone could use the dining, etc. on the band. Thanks.

    Hi Lynn!

They are made of very sturdy rubber and have two nubs that click into holes.  It does take some effort to get them to come off.  I have never been worried that my 5 year old would accidentally lose his.

In the case that your teen does lose it, no one can use it to charge, get into your room or use dining credits.  Every time you make a purchase using your MagicBand, including using it for the Disney Dining Plan, you must enter a PIN code that only you know.  The bands do not have any personal information written on them besides the name you chose to customize them with.  Head to Guest Relations anywhere to let them know you have misplaced your MagicBand and they will take care of you from there.

    Have a magical day!
