We are going WDW in December...2 adults and a 22 month old. We are trying to figure out which dining plan to do..the deluxe or the dining one (not quickservice). Want to have as much prepaid as possible, what should we do? Which us best for our toddler?

    Hi Angie:

A number of Guests enjoy the Disney Dining Plans not just for the value, but also for the convenience of pre-payment.  As you may know, the Disney Dining Plan is not available for children under three, but your child under three can share from your adult plate at no charge.  You can always order your child under three a separate meal from the menu, but the cost of that meal will be added to the bill.  So your best value would be to have your child under three share from your plate.

In terms of deciding which dining plan is for you and your family, I would plan out some sample meals using the menus on the Disney restaurant pages. The Deluxe Dining Plan will entitle your family to a lot of food and the more sit down meals you eat, the more value you'll likely receive from the Deluxe Plan.  Also, if your child is a big eater, you and your child will likely receive more value if you can schedule many sit down meals under the Deluxe Plan.

In sum, plan out some sample meals, get a feel if your family are big eaters, and plan out if you think you'll be able to schedule a lot of sit down meals.  The more you think your family will take advantage of sit down meals, the more I would lean to the Deluxe Plan.

    Enjoy your vacation.
