We will be at WDW from Dec.23-28 any suggestions for christmas eve and christmas day???

    Shelley:

The parks will be very crowded during Christmas--especially on those days.  Here are two strategies:

    • If you want to visit the parks, go early to the parks on Christmas Eve.  Get to the park a good 30 minutes before they open and see the most that you can before lunch time.  Then, head back to your hotel.  If it's warm, hang out at the pool, explore the resort and relax.   Most of all, rest up to stay out LATE.  Check out the park hours on the schedule card you're given at check-in and head back to the parks after dinner and stay until the park's close.  You'll be tired on Christmas morning from staying out late, so have a leisure morning and head back to the parks late that night again, staying until closing.  This is favorite strategy of fellow Disney Mom Margaret.
    • If you don't want to deal with the crowds in the parks, make the most of the resorts.  Don't just settle for exploring your own resort, head out to visit the Christmas decorations at the other resorts, like the life-size Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian, the Chocolate Carousel at the Beach Club and other decorations in the lobbies of the Boardwalk and The Contemporary.  If it's warm, you might even want to head to Blizzard Beach or your resort pool.  Or if it's too chilly for a bathing suit, consider renting a pontoon boat or searacer to enjoy the water.  And don't forget the mini-golf courses.

Wishing y'all a Merry Christmas and a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
