We will be at WDW Dec 6-16 2013. We want to do something special for each of our children. My DD4 is going to the BBB and DS9 is going on a fishing trip. I am looking for a special activity for DD9. She did BBB last trip and wants something different.

    Hi, Stacy!

    What a great idea!

If your daughter (and you) are the adventurous type, try Sammy Duvall's Parasailing. Because  you can parasail in tandem, you'll be able to enjoy the excitement, and the view, throughout your entire experience. My 11-year-old and I tried this in March and we both loved it!

For an elegant event, try My Disney Girl's Perfectly Princess Tea Party at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, or consider a treatment (geared for your daughter) at one of the many spas in Walt Disney World. There are even mani- / pedi- treatments that are geared for those under 14.

If your daughter is an animal lover, check out Wild Africa Trek at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, where the minimum age for a trek is 8 (minimum height=48").

Over at Downtown Disney, you could spend an afternoon together which includes lunch at the restaurant of her choice, a little shopping and a ride on Characters in Flight (the world's largest tethered helium balloon). Finish the day with a stop at Ghirardelli Ice Cream & Chocolate Shop for sundaes (they make their hot fudge daily right in the store) and you've got a day any girl could love.

Send another question with more information about your daughter's favorites and I'll add even more options for you. I love to help!
