We will be at WDW Dec. 08. We have a party of 6 including an infant and 2 yr old. Some of our dinners we have to sit at 2 tbls. Will we be able to sit together? Or should I cancel them? If not together it will ruin the good times. Any info is appreciated.

I have a family of five and we sometimes travel with extended family or friends. When we make our advance dining reservations, we are very often told that we can only be accommodated at two tables. My experience has been that the majority of the time when we actually get to the restaurant and explain our situation to the cast members there, they will be able to find some way for us to be together, by either moving tables or seating us right next to each other. You have a better chance of having this happen if you either arrive early for your reservation or are willing to wait.

However, there have been a few times when we really are seated at two tables. This is less convenient, but it's happened so infrequently that we're able to make a game of it. My husband once had some fancy umbrella drinks sent over to the table where my daughter and I were eating. She thought this was a riot :-)

Since your travel time is still so far away, you could continue to call Disney Dining periodically to ask if anything has changed and if your reservation could be converted to one table. People do cancel reservations, and if you happen to time it right you could be lucky enough to pick up a vacated slot of the right party size.

I am having a similar dilemma for my family's Thanksgiving meal reservation at WDW. We were able to get a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner that coincides with the fireworks. Perfect, except we were told that our family of five would be at two tables. Normally it wouldn't be such a big deal for me if we end up at two tables for a random meal. But I would feel awful if this happened for a holiday. I'm trying to decide if we risk it or if I should cancel and make a reservation somewhere else. I'm going to call Disney Dining a few more times to see if there have been any cancelations before I make myself decide. Wish me luck :-)
