We are going to WDW April 7-11 with 4yr old and 2yr old girls. We are planning on going to Magic Kingdom for 3 days and Animal Kingdom 1 day. Do you have any specific recommendations for children this age at Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom? Thanks

    Hi Amy,

Thanks for stopping by! Your trip is almost here and I'm sure you are getting really excited. With so much to do for little ones, your girls are simply going to love both Magic Kingdom and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

I would highly recommend spending a good portion of your time in Fantasyland. Not only does it have rides that will appeal to your young girls, with the exception of Goofy's Barnstormer, none of the rides in this "land" have a height minimum. Be sure to take them to the newly opened Fairytale Hall to meet some of the princesses. Cinderella and Rapunzel are always greeting guests and they have a visiting princess, as well. Enchanted Tales with Belle is an absolute must-do for little princesses. This interactive storytime with Belle is done so well and you will be sure to leave with a smile on your face. Some other great attractions around Magic Kingdom are Magic Carpets of Aladdin and Jungle Cruise.

Over at Disney's Animal Kingdom, be sure to check out Rafiki's Planet Watch with the Affection Section (petting zoo). There are lots of interesting things you can learn from this area and I was quite surprised how many facts my younger two picked up on and talked about after leaving. Kilimanjaro Safaris is a quintessential ride that kids of all ages adore. In regards to shows, Flights of Wonder is sure to please as well as Finding Nemo - The Musical and Festival of the Lion King. If you need a spot to stop and rest your feet while your kids play, head over to the Boneyard in Dinoland, USA, where the kids can "dig" up bones while you take a rest and watch.

I hope this offers you some fun suggestions to put in your itinerary. Have a magical time. Your trip will be here before you can say supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
