    Kewanna from CA Asked

Is wdw accepting Apple pay now?

Hi, Kewanna! My Magic+ and Apple Pay have totally revolutionized the way we visit the parks. In years past, I wore a lanyard packed with my ID, credit cards, FastPasses, and laminated copies of confirmation numbers. Now, all I need is my iPhone and MagicBand, and we are set to find adventure!

Mobile payments, such as Apple Pay, Google Wallet and other tap-to-pay credit cards, began rolling out across Walt Disney World Resort this winter. They can be used at many quick-service dining, merchandise and ticket sales locations by moving your phone or card within reach of a supported terminal or other payment system. Note that this has not been fully implemented in table-service locations.

One of my friends is currently at Walt Disney World with her daughter's school on a field trip. She discovered during the bus ride there that, while she is normally a very savvy Disney planner, she took the mantra of "let it go" too seriously and left her wallet at home. Luckily, she does have her iPhone with her and today reports successful use of Apple Pay at quick-service locations, but was unable to use it at their table-service dinner.

No need to worry, Kewanna, in case you either find yourself with no credit cards during your trip or just simply want to let it all go. Apple Pay should have you covered at most locations.

Meet the Panelist: Brandy, South Carolina

Hi, I'm Brandy, a speech pathologist and busy driver of daughters to marching band and dance events. My Annual Pass is used often to check out new Disney must-dos and resort changes. I enjoy giving advice about itinerary and FastPass+ planning, Epcot's fantastic festivals, Memory Maker, and transportation at the Resort. The time I spend at Walt Disney World Resort is distinctive because it is the one place I can forget other responsibilities and focus on having the time of my life with my family!
