Do the water parks close when it rains I'm planning to be at wdw in july

    Hello Damaris!
Spending a day relaxing at on of Disney's outstanding water parks is always high on my list when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Last year, we visited in June and while we were at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, it began to rain. It was only when lightening was spotted that we were required to exit the water. The water park did not close, and once the lightening had passed we were allowed to continue enjoying our day at the park. If it looks like a short lived storm or if it is gentle rain without lightening, I would recommend sticking it out. However, if it looks like prolonged thunder and lightening storm, you may be better off to adjust your plans.

I truly hope you get to enjoy Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or Disney's Blizzard Beach- they are slashtastic!

    See ya real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Anne, Iowa

I’m Anne, a native Iowan, wife, mother, and grandmother. For me, a major part of the fun of a Disney trip is the planning. I have traveled to the Disney Parks in multiple stages of my life, including as a daughter, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother. While I can’t pick my funniest Disney memory – either my 70-year-old mother on The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or my 4-year-old grandson on Dinosaur – I am thrilled to be able to help other Disney guests plan their adventures.
