At the water parks... are you allowed to bring in your own intertubes, play toys and lifejackets? And at Typhoon Lagoon how deep is the shark reef and do you have to know how to swim to do it?

    Hi Tamberlyn!

Typhoon Lagoonis my favorite of the two water parks at Disney World!  You can bring your own life jackets, however they are provided to you for free.  You cannot bring your own inner tubes and the only play toys I would suggest bringing are sand toys.  My son loves to sit in the sand and play while we’re having a little down time.  All of the kid’s meals come in a sand bucket and shovel!

As for Shark Reef…it is deep.  You will be given a mask, snorkel and life vest before entering the shark pool.  Basically, you start at one end and float to the other as you are looking at the sharks and fish down below.  You don’t have to be a good swimmer to enjoy this attraction, but you do have to know how to float with a life vest on for basic snorkeling.  You can observe other guests on this attraction before deciding if this is right for you.

    Have a magical day!
