What water park is appropriate for my 4 yr old and 1 yr old kids? Thanks

    Hi Carmela,

Both of Disney World's water parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach have wonderfully-themed areas for small children.  Typhoon Lagoon has "Ketchakiddie Creek", a large water play area with kid-sized slides and splash areas.  It is surrounded by a sandy area that is great for playing.  Blizzard Beach has "Tikes Peak", which is basically a miniature version of the larger park itself, with slides, an inner tube ride, splash areas and a wading pool.  Both of these areas are for the use of children 48 inches and under and their families, and are surrounded by well-shaded areas with lounge chairs and some picnic tables.

My kids are huge water park fans.  We prefer Blizzard Beach for their age group.  In my opinion, it has a larger selection of water attractions that would keep both your pre-schooler and toddler happy.  There are a variety of mini-slides (straight, curvy and one you ride on a tube) and an absolutely adorable "sand castle" that has tiny slides that your little one should like. Both parks have huge pools at the center of the park.  Typhoon Lagoon is famous for its wave pool.  Blizzard Beach's main pool is a bit "calmer".  My kids also get a huge "kick" out of the fact that the park (based on the premise of a skiing village that encountered a heat wave) has holiday music playing much of the day.   Obviously, these are just my family's thoughts.  Both parks are wonderful and your kids should have a blast in either.

Whatever you chose, have a great time!
