I have been watching the weather for Orlando and there is going to be scattered thunderstorms for one of our visiting days, being from New England that usually means the day is a "wash". Should I expect the same in Florida?

    Hi Pamela,

Usually when you see dark clouds coming over you in Florida, go somewhere to take cover where you wouldn't mind spending an hour or two.  Normally when I have been to Florida, the thunderstorms come fast and furious, but aren't there for long.  I remember being at Epcot once during one of these thunderstorms and we ended up staying in the German Pavilion to have some lunch while the storm passed.  After eating...the sun was out stronger than ever, no trace of any thunderstorm....just a few puddles.  A good rule of thumb is normally around 1:00-2:00pm every day, be prepared for one of these bouts with rain, thunder and lightning!  Bring an umbrella or a rain Poncho, you will be just fine!

    Best wishes,
