To watch the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular and the Electrical Water Pageant at the Polynesian Resort do you have to be staying at the resort? If yes, where can we catch them both outside the park?

Hi Kashuna!  My first thoughts for this would be "no" you do not have to be a guest at the Polynesian resort to watch the fireworks from the beach but during the heavy Fourth of July celebrations they were restricting their property to only their own resort guests. I am assuming things will go back to normal but you will want to check before heading over there. They will restrict parking  for only resort guests so if you go it is best to use the monorail.

There are other resorts where you can see some of the shows and one is the Grand Floridian resort. The best views are by the boat launch area or Narcoossees restaurant. The other resort where you can easily find a spot on the beach to watch both the Magic Kingdom fireworks and the Electric Water Parade is at Fort Wilderness. This is a nice boat ride from the Magic Kingdom and the beach is never completely crowded so you have great views. They pipe in the Wishes music but you will miss anything that is low on the castle as trees will block that view from you. Everything that explodes up in the sky is a great site from there. The water parade will float by around 9:45pm every night but again check the schedule with Guest Services so you are sure not to miss this!
