    Sheri Asked

We want to come to WDW and I have a question about lodging. My 16 yr old daughter is Cerebral Palsy Quadriplegic. There are 3 of us plus her one-on-one caregiver going. Do they offer a discounted rate on the second room for her caregiver?

Hi Sheri! I am so excited you are bringing your daughter for a wonderful Disney vacation. I am sure she is going to have a magical time seeing and experiencing all there is to do in the parks and resorts.

When I bring my mother who is almost 90 I also must bring her one on one caregiver. Unfortunately there are no discounts for that when it comes to the rooms and tickets. I try to book either two connecting rooms or a suite. This last December I booked a two bedroom DVC suite in the Beach Club Villas. This offers more room as well as full kitchen and laundry. You might consider pricing out a DVC property and even possibly purchasing some points from a DVC owner who is willing to sell at that time. I am not a DVC owner and generally just book through Disney when I need the larger rooms/units. We have some wonderful DVC Disney moms who would love to answer any questions about these properties if this is the direction you would like to go in.

Another possibility is to look into the family suites at either the new Art of Animation resort or the All Star Music. These give you a separate bedroom with the other sleeping options in the living area. You also have two full baths which I would think would be important. You can check out the availability and price comparison for all of these properties by going to www.disneyworld.com.
