Hello! My DS13 wants to do the dolphin encounter. 30 min with dolphins doesn't seem like much when experience is 3 hours. Like all 13 he can get bored and be inpatient. What has been your experience with this activity? Thx!

    Hi Danelle,

Six years ago we arranged for my daughter (then 15) to experience Dolphins in Depth this with my brother (her Uncle). They both rate it as an A+ tour. They only take 8 people at a time, so it is a small group which is perfect for lots of up-close and personal time with the dolphins. The trainers divided the 3 hours up nicely. Part of the time was spent learning about the dolphins, and part of it was a chance to get in the water, feed and pet the dolphins, have your photo taken, etc.

My brother and daughter still rave about the Dolphins in Depth experience and they highly recommend it. My daughter liked that the group was small, says she had plenty of time with the dolphins and will cherish the memories of that day forever.

I have a 13 year old son too, so I can understand your concern about him getting bored. Given that this is such a unique experience and he is expressing a lot of interest in it, I'll bet your son would absolutely love the chance to have some one-on-one time with you and would love the Dolphins in Depth Tour.

I hope this helps and that you have a wonderful vacation,
