We are wanting to do stand by in morning and fast pass after 1pm. is that an OK idea?

    Hi there Lewis!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! I honestly believe there are various strategies when it comes to booking FastPass+ experiences. While there's no right or wrong approach, I usually plan my park day just as you have suggested in your question. Because the lines are traditionally shorter first thing in the morning, I prefer to ride attractions via the standby entrance during the morning hours and save our 3 FastPass+ selections for a time that is traditionally more crowded in the parks. That being said, after using all 3 of your initial FastPass+ selections, you will be eligible to book an additional FastPass+ experience; however, you can only book one additional FastPass+ selection at a time. Follow this link to learn more about Disney's FastPass+ Service.

When park hopping, I also book my initial FastPass+ selections for the second park that I will be visiting to help ensure that we can ride any "must do" attractions with a minimal wait. If you are concerned that you may not arrive at the parks as early as would like to, you may also find booking your 3 initial FastPass+ selections for after lunch to be advantageous.

I hope this information is helpful in making the best decision for your family. Please don't hesitate to visit us again with any additional questions that you may have. Best wishes for a magical trip, Lewis!

    Happy Planning,
    Jodie
