I am wanting to plan a trip in April of 2014 to take my son who will be 5 for his birthday! I have never been to Disney either. I will also have a two and a half year old to and my husband! What are some need to knows when planning this trip?

Hello, Sarah!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I always get so excited when I hear about a first ever Walt Disney World vacation!  I simply love the early planning and, as far as I'm concerned, this is the best way to plan for a most MAGICAL vacation.

First, you will want to look for some great deals that Disney tends to offer throughout the year. These SPECIAL OFFERS can help you save a lot of money, so keep checking back with us.  If you book your vacation and a special offer is released, you can call back and see if they can update your reservation to reflect the new offer.

Next, you and your husband will want to sit down and discuss what Walt Disney World Resort will suit your needs.  There are so many BENEFITS associated with staying at one of our resorts, so really think about it. Personally, I think the value resorts are the way to go considering the ages of your children.  I like to refer to these resorts as "candy for the eye" resorts.  Your children may as well be walking into a Disney movie.

Well, I guess you have to eat while on vacation and the DISNEY DINING PLAN is just the thing to keep your food budget in check.  It can really save you some money.  There are different plans, so carefully study them.

You will want to look at the pricing of TICKETS and see if you would like to add any options for your visit. Again, really sit down and talk about it.

Unfortunately, my space limit is up, but these items are where you need to begin.  Please visit with me again.
