Wanting to bring grandbabies, age 8 and 5. Haven't been to Disney in 30 years! Best resort... low key, luxury and any tips so appreciated!

    Hi Patricia,

Although my favorite resort is Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, with all the luaus and excitement going on, you may be looking for something a little quieter.  Don't worry-- all of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels have entertaining pools and recreation that will keep your grandbabies happy!

After staying at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, it has made its way into my heart as an amazing place to experience the magic while having some quiet time to just relax!  It is located on the Resort Monorail loop, and is also a short boat ride away from Magic Kingdom Park.  You can enjoy all of the benefits of a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel while feeling pampered and relaxed.  You can even watch the Magic Kingdom Park fireworks from the resort!  Don't forget to check out Senses - A Disney Spa at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort!

Another option, if you want a bit of unique magic, would be Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. With amazing dining and a great location, the resort is already pretty phenomenal, but it gets even better.  From Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, you can watch over 30 species of African wildlife roam the nearby savannahs!  No matter what you choose, I'm sure you will absolutely love your stay!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!

Hi y’all!  I am an Army wife, a college instructor, a dog-mom, and a lover of all things Disney!  Planning a Disney vacation is my favorite pastime—other than actually going on a Disney vacation, of course—and I love helping others make the most of their magical trip!  If I am not at the Walt Disney World Resort, I am putting the pixie-dusted touches on my next trip!
