Hi! I wanted to know if I Book a room only at a Disney resort if I could add dining and park tickets closer to my date of travel?

    Hi Carmen!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a great question because planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is something that some guests like to spend a full year on. I'm known as the last-minute mom, having planned three Walt Disney World Resort vacations with only a few months, weeks, and once a day's notice. It would be awesome if I could think far out in advance to book a Disney Resort Hotel to hold our potential dates, but I just never do.

I am happy to say that yes, you are absolutely able to book a rooms-only reservation at any Walt Disney World Resort Hotel up to 499 days in advance of your potential vacation, and then call back to add the other fun stuff later. In fact this is actually a really popular method that some guests like to take advantage of as theme park ticket prices or special packages for the upcoming year generally aren't released that far in advance, but this way they still have a guaranteed room at their favorite resort hotel. It's best to take advantage of a special promotion as soon as it's announced as there are usually only a limited number of offers available. But if you're like me who often doesn't know what her life looks like until closer to time, you're able to add a Disney Dining Plan and Theme Park Tickets to your reservation all the way up until the week before you check in.

Pro Tip: It is best to add your theme park tickets at least 61 days in advance of your first theme park day so you can take advantage of booking your three FastPass+ reservations the first day they become available to your booking, which is 60 days before your vacation.

I hope this helped, Carmen, and I hope that we see you real soon!
