I am going to the walt disney world in september to celebrate my daughters 8th birthday and my sons 2nd birthday. Is there any must do things to make their birthdays even more special.

    Hi Ileana,

Walt Disney World is a great place to celebrate a birthday! Here are some suggestions to make your trip even more magical:-

1/ Make a dining reservation for a Character Meal or by calling (407) 939-3463 and pre-order a custom cake to be brought to your table during the meal. Specialty celebration cakes are available for an additional charge and should be ordered 48 hours in advance by calling (407) 827-2253.
2/ Arrange an In-Room celebration through Disney Floral & Gifts. (http://www.disneyflorist.com)
3/ Arrange for some gifts to be waiting upon your arrival at your Disney Resort hotel through Disney Floral & Gifts.
4/ Create your very own Birthday Ear Hats at the Chapeau in the Magic Kingdom theme park.

Another idea for your Daughter would be to make an advanced reservation for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where she can receive her very own Princess makeover. Although your Son will be too young for the Pirates League, you could consider taking him to have his hair cut at the Harmony Barbershop in the Magic Kingdom. As well as having his hair cut, he could also have some coloured hair gel in the shape of Mickey Mouse added to make the experience extra special. To make an appointment, you can call (407) WDISNEY or (407) 934-7639.

You will find lots of other ideas on the Customize Your Special Occasion page of the Walt Disney World website.

I would also be sure to pick up a complimentary birthday button when you check-in at your Disney Resort hotel or from Guest Relations as you enter one of the Disney Parks for your Son & Daughter to wear throughout your stay.

I hope that this has given you some ideas and wish you a magical trip!
