Hi. We are going to Walt Disney World Memorial weekend. We are staying at Animal Kingdom. I was wondering if you have any suggestions on "must see" places to visit on the short visit. We have 2 boys - 9 and 5.

    Hi Karen,

Animal Kingdom Lodge is a magnificent resort to call "home" on any Walt Disney World vacation, whether long or short.  My boys (ages 7 and 9) love it, and I'm guessing yours will as well.  On a brief trip, I'd focus on Magic Kingdom, Epcot (I'd focus on Future World on a short trip) and Animal Kingdom (since you are so close).  If you are only staying for two park days and aren't getting park hoppers, I'd stick with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom.  At Magic Kingdom, some of my boys' favorites include:
    • Pirates of the Caribbean
    • Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin
    • Splash Mountain
    • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    • Space Mountain
    • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (my youngest still loves this attraction.)
    • Mad Tea Party
    • Haunted Mansion

    At Epcot, my kids love:

    • Test Track
    • Mission Space (they prefer the "less intense version")
    • Soarin'
    • Journey into Imagination with Figment
    • The Living Seas with Crush
    • Spaceship Earth

    At Animal Kingdom, we enjoy:

    • Kilimanjaro Safari
    • Expedition Everest
    • It's Tough to Be A Bug
    • Kali River Rapids
    • The Festival of the Lion King
    • Finding Nemo, The Musical

Feel free to write back with more details (number of days) regarding your trip and we'll be happy to provide more suggestions!
