While walking thru Downtown Disney on our last visit was told by a Disney Vacation salesmen, that as a Georgia resident, there were special rates like Florida residents get... Is this true? I would love to bring my grandkids but I can't afford it.

    Hi Kelley,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for submitting your question to us.

I have a feeling that the Cast Member from the Disney Vacation Club (which we sometimes call DVC) was letting you know that members of DVC occasionally receive special offers on tickets, similar to the offers Disney has for Florida residents.  It's just one of the many perks of being a DVC member.

However, there are so many ways to save money on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  Check out the Special Offers page to see what deals and discounts are currently available.  One of the most popular offers that is available each year is a free Disney Dining Plan with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation package.  I'd suggest keeping an eye on that Special Offers page, because if you're interested in the free Disney Dining Plan promotion, it sells out quickly.

Another way that we fit a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort into our budget is by purchasing Disney gift cards.  We buy gift cards in small denominations when we are out running errands or grocery shopping and put them in a safe place. It allows us to build up our vacation savings little by little; before we know it, we've saved enough for a resort room for a long weekend.

Kelley, I hope you can fulfill your dream of enjoying the Walt Disney World Resort with your grandbabies. Please come back to visit us if you have any additional questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy S.
