    Sarah from america Asked

how much is the wait time in the summer like july not the 4th of july but just in july. Also in Disney world is there any website you would prefer.

    Hello Sarah!

The summer time is one of my family's favorite times of the year to visit Walt Disney World.  My boys are both in high school and we prefer to travel when they don't have class.  As you can imagine, because schools are out in most of the country, the parks tend to be somewhat crowded.  Exact wait times are hard to predict, but stand by queues on some of the most popular attractions can exceed an hour.  Don't fret however, as I have a few tips to help you enjoy your summer getaway.  If you avoid holiday weekends, I have always found the parks to be manageable.  A bit of planning using My Disney Experience, will enable you to make Fast Pass+ selections that will greatly reduce your wait times on some of the parks' most popular attractions.  In addition, you will be able to make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance of your arrival if you are staying on site a Walt Disney World Resort.

In addition, if you are staying on site, you will be able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, during which guests can enjoy extra time in select parts either early (before it opens) or late (after it closes).  Finally, regardless of whether a park has Extra Magic Hours, I recommend arriving as early as possible in the morning, as summer crowds and the heat tends to increase as the day progresses.

By following some of these tips, you are likely to reduce wait times and enjoy an extra magical vacation!
