I will be visting WDW in april my son will be 2 will i need to pay for buffet for him? We are not on a dining plan

    Hi Hannah,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

I’m thrilled to inform you that Guests under the age of 3 are Mickey’s very special guests during their visits to Walt Disney World Resort. This means that they don’t need to purchase a Theme Park Ticket in order to gain entry to the Parks but, also, that they get to dine at buffet and family-style table service locations at no charge, even if they do nibble a bit on the buffet’s offerings.

We visited the Disney Parks several times with our little guy before he turned 3 and this was always a great deal for us. He loved fruit then (and now) and he would always absolutely devour whatever we would bring him from the buffet line, especially if watermelon was involved!

One final tip: please make sure to include your infant in the number of Guests in your party when making your dining reservation. Even though there's no charge for them, they need to be included in the count in order to properly monitor the restaurant's capacity and to ensure that you get a proper sized table for your group.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
