Visitnf WDW 4/9-4/13/2012. Family of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids, 11y/o boy, 9y/o boy & 8y/o girl). Want to treat Father in law to birthday dinner. He is from the Caribbean. Any suggestions on a restaurant with caribbean style food we can all eat at?

    Hi, Anissa!

While there are loads of international cuisine options at Epcot, your search for delicious Caribbean cuisine will take you no further than Shutters at Old Port Royale, located in the beautiful Caribbean Beach Resort.  This casual table-service restaurant boasts a variety of traditional dishes, from shrimp fritters to jerk chicken to char-crusted steak.

A slightly more upscale option is Narcoossee's, nestled in the gorgeous Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, a restaurant with cuisine that blends the flavors of the Caribbean with the citrusy palate of Florida. Highlights of this menu include Teriyaki-Glazed Ahi Tuna, Pan-Seared Stone Bass, and a delectable medley of seasonal vegetables as a vegetarian alternative. One selling point about this elegant eatery: if you make your reservations at night, you'll have a fabulous view of the Wishes! nighttime fireworks spectacular. That would definitely make for an unforgettable birthday.

Both of these restaurants do offer separate children's menus, featuring items for the less experienced diner.

    See you later, celebrator!
