We are visiting the week after thanksgiving and we are trying to decide on our FastPass+ selections. Since some of our group won't be riding rides, could they use a FastPass+ choice on Fantasmic and save the rest of our group seats?

Hi Melinda! You and your family will be visiting Walt Disney World at a perfect time to enjoy the beginning of the holiday season.

Choosing FastPasses for a large group can be a little stressful as you want everyone to enjoy the attractions of their choice. But coming as a group you also want to be able to spend time with each other as much as possible so you can share the magical memories.

The guests who reserve a FastPass for Fantasmic will have reserved seating for them. It is not possible to join them unless everyone has a FastPass and even then saving a large group of seats would not be acceptable. You can stand in the stand-by line and enter without a FastPass and then meet up once the show is finished. Make sure you pick a meeting location as with all the guests leaving it can get very crowded.

When I am making FastPasses for my family of 12 I try to understand what attractions each person would like to enjoy in each park. For those who are not fond of the roller coasters (like my husband) I pick a FastPass at the same time as the others but on attractions such as Great Movie Ride or Muppets in the Hollywood Studios Park. This keeps everyone happy and we simply meet in between and often squeeze something else in that we all can do together. It takes a little extra time but it is also worth it in the end.
