I am visiting WDW with my 5 year old and it will be her first visit. How many days would you suggest for that age?

    Hi Shelton,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I have a five-year-old daughter also and she loves visiting the Walt Disney World Resort with me. I would suggest a five day trip with four active days in the parks (one park per day, possibly more if you're park hopping) and one day of rest and resort exploring. Park hopper Magic Your Way tickets give you the flexibility to return to her favorite spots "just one more time" during the course of your vacation. I love having a rest day in the middle where we can enjoy the pool, walk around our resort and visit Downtown Disney; we often use this day to catch one of the incredible dinner shows at the resorts, such as the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show or the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. Neither of these shows require park admission but we do recommend Advanced Dining Reservations for these experiences.

If you have inclement weather during your visit (which happens quite often here in Central Florida), that park hopper pass will help you be able to go back and see anything you missed during your stay.

Please come back and see us if you have any additional questions!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
