I will be visiting WDW this September with my husband and our 1-year-old daughter. For character meets, would both adults need FP+ in order to use that queue, or would just 1 adult having the FP+ allow us to meet the character as a group?

    Hi Becky!

The FastPass+ Program is a great new invention at Walt Disney World which allows guests to avoid the longer lines on many attractions. This will include the thrill rides, shows, and character meet and greets.

Since your daughter is under the age of three she will not need a park ticket and thus will not need a FastPass for any of the attractions or shows. This includes the meet and greets. But all guests who hold a valid park ticket will need their own FastPass to enjoy the shorter lines. You are not able to group in on one fastpass so both you and your husband will need to use one to be in line for a character meet and greet with your daughter.

Some parents of the younger children will split up and one parent will take the child to one meet and greet while the other parent then uses their FastPass for another meet and greet or attraction. This basically gives your child double the fun by splitting your FastPass experiences.

Obviously it is fun to both be with your daughter during new experiences so it will be a decision you will have to make before you arrive. You can reserve your FastPasses 60 days ahead if you are a Disney resort guest.

Have fun and I know it will be an amazing trip with your daughter!
