We are visiting WDW in October and are staying at Pop Century again (which we love)! If we typically spend most of our time at the parks, would it make sense to upgrade to a moderate or deluxe resort? Thank you for all you do!

    Hi Samantha,

You raise a very good point and although I do love the "Moderate" and "Deluxe" Resorts at Walt Disney World, if I want to stay on a budget I have no problem whatsoever staying in a "Value" Resort.  The Pop Century is one of my favorites in this class and is very centrally located to the theme parks, water parks and even Downtown Disney in my opinion compared to some of the moderate and deluxe resorts. If you think you are not going to be spending very much time at your resort then I would stick with this plan and save some money (you will still be able to enjoy all of those magical benefits that Walt Disney World Resort guests have).  On the other hand, if location (as far as transportation to the theme parks via monorail, Boat Launch, or within walking distance) or wonderfully themed pools with great slides (such as Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club Resort), or even the amenities that will be included in your room (such as coffee makers, fridges, etc..) are important to you during your vacation then I suggest you look into changing to a "Moderate" or "Deluxe" Resort.  I hope this helps you out in making the right decision for your family as this is more personal preference as to what each individual would like as far as comforts during a holiday!!!

    Have a magical stay!
