Since we are visiting WDW in Oct., we have the opportunity to go to Mickey's not so scary halloween. My kids are 6 and 8 and have food allergies. So...is this party worth going to? Also, what happens when you wear a birthday button? Thank you!

    Hi Alyssa,

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my all time favorite events at the Magic Kingdom & I'd highly recommend it for guests of all ages. I recently answered a question about some of the details of the party, click here to see that answer.

Your kids' food allergies should not be a problem. WDW really goes above & beyond to meet as many dietary requests as possible. If you decide to attend MNSSHP (yes - you should), send an email to wdw.special.diets@disney.com. They have a form they can email you to fill out & return to them regarding your kids' food allergies. You'll also need to be sure & let them know which night you will be attending MNSSHP. Once they receive the form, they will notify the event Coordinator & City Hall in the Magic Kingdom. When you arrive for the party, you can go to City Hall & pick up some "safe" candy for them. All part of the Disney magic!

You can pick up a Happy Birthday button at most Guest Relations locations. Cast Members everywhere will wish you a Happy Birthday.  Moms Panel Kay led a group of us in signing "Happy Birthday" to a Guest once. Still can't figure out why his face turned so red? There is no "special" thing that Guests receive but you never know what pixie dust will come your way.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
