We are visiting WDW in November and I was unable to get a reservation for Ohana. I even tried Disney Dining Buddy without any luck. Can we walk up and put our name in for a standby reservation or do they not take walkups? Thank You

    Hi Brian!

I am so sorry that you haven't been able to get a reservation.  'Ohana is a very popular restaurant and can be tough to reserve.

You can definitely try to get in without a reservation.  Whether or not they will be able to accommodate you depends on how busy the restaurant is.  I have had some friends be able to get in as a walk-up, but I have also seen families turned away.  Here are a few tips for you:

    1.  Get there before opening:  It opens at 7:30 for breakfast and 5:00 for dinner.  I would plan to be there 30 minutes in advance to try for a spot.

    2.  My favorite part of the dinner is the bread pudding.  You can order this at Tambu Lounge if you aren't able to get in 'Ohana.

    3.  A great alternative is Kona Cafe.  It is right next to 'Ohana and has similar food choices.  They will even go and get the 'Ohana noodles for you if you request them.  I do recommend that you make reservations in advance for Kona.

    4.  Keep checking back for cancellations at "Ohana.  People can cancel up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty, so it's definitely worth checking often.

I hope this helps!  Good luck with your 'Ohana adventure and please let me know if you have any other questions.
