We are visiting WDW in May/Star Wars wknd and have brkfst reservations for Chef Mickey's at 9:15. My twins want to go to the Jedi Training ...will we have enough time to register them when the park opens and keep our reservation for breakfast? Thanks!

    Hi Jennifer,

Oh my, this is a tricky situation.  If you happen to be visiting the first weekend (begins on May 20, 2011), the park opens at 8 am all 3 days, but I think the park will be crazy busy because it is coinciding with the re-opening of Star Tours.  And then to think of getting into the park as it opens, getting to the registration, leaving the park and getting to the Contemporary Resort within 1 hour will be challenging. I don't think it would be a risk I'd want to take.

If you are visiting Star Wars Weekend on one of the other set of dates, the park opens at 9 making it impossible to be at two places at once.

I wish I had better news.  Clearly the Empire has been creating more chaos in the universe.  I'd encourage you to try and reschedule your dining time, which I realize can be tough with the popularity of Chef Mickey's but be persistent.  Guests change their dining plans, so you never know what may open up.

Hoping the Force is on your side to make this all work out!

PS Do make sure to arrive early and go directly the Jedi Training Academy area to register.  Also, the Jedi Training Academy is offered every day, not just on Star Wars Weekend if that gives you another option.
