We are visiting WDW in May With the park hopper, which place should we start? I've been told do Disney world last is that magic kingdom? Wanting to get fastpass set up.

    Hi Chris!

Adding the Park Hopper option to your tickets is a great way to have the opportunity to experience as much magic as possible in the four Walt Disney World theme parks. Each day you can go from one park to the next using your day ticket.

Many guests forget that the entire property is called Walt Disney World and in that property there are four separate parks, two water parks, a sports complex, Disney Springs, multiple golf courses and many resorts. Some guests call the entire property the Magic Kingdom when that in itself is just one of the four large theme parks. If someone suggested you head to the Disney World last I will also assume they were meaning the Magic Kingdom.

You did not mention how many days you were going to be at Walt Disney World so will assume 1 or 2. Figuring out the parks also depends on the ages of any children who will be traveling with you. If you have young children who love parades and fireworks then I too would suggest you end your day at the Magic Kingdom. Every day is ended with a castle show and fireworks which are spectacular and everyone loves to see the castle at night lit up and being so magical. This park used to have a night time parade and we all hope that they will bring one back in the future.

Older children might enjoy the end of Epcot which is a show called Illuminations or Hollywood Studios which often has a special show as well as Fantasmic. Animal Kingdom now is open in the evenings and ends their day with the new Rivers of Light show. Each park will have something special so it really does depend on age and interest.

If none of that matters then I suggest you check the park calendars for your dates and end at the park that is open the latest and begin at the park that opens the earliest!
