Visiting WDW in late January. Thought this would be a less crowded time, but no dining reservations available! Have a few made in October, but I'm wondering if this is indicative of the crowds? Starting to wonder if should reschedule for another time?

Hello fellow Hoosier! Thanks so much for question. It's always nice to hear from a fellow Disney fan from Indiana. January is actually a great time to visit Walt Disney World in regards to weather and crowd level. The weather isn't miserably hot like it would be if you visited in the summer, which makes outdoor experiences more enjoyable, I think. The end of January would be a low-crowd level time too, which sounds like what you are going for. When I plan my vacations I always look at the crowd calendars at Easywdw.com. The calendars usually have accurate predictions of crowd levels in each park that is based off of data collected over the years. I just looked at the calendar, and the end of January looks to be relatively low in crowd level. I'm not sure why there aren't many dining reservations available, but that doesn't exactly correspond with a high crowd level. It could be that the dining reservations you are interested in are the most popular restaurants, or even that people have reserved dining reservation spots that they don't intend on actually using. Lots of guests cancel as the time draws nearer, so I think that you should keep checking back just in case.

I think you will enjoy Walt Disney World in January. Please let us know if you need anything else, and we'd be happy to help. Have a magical vacation!
