I will be visiting WDW in July with a 5yr old for the first time. The girls Cinderella Char Dining. What do they have for boys for Character Dining? Also our plane will not be arriving until after 9:00pm any suggestions on activites.

    Hello Falesha,

There are ten different character dining locations at Walt Disney World and only three of them have any sort of princess themeing. The rest have equal appeal to girls and boys. The most iconic choice would be Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and more appear here at breakfast and dinner. Other non-princess choices are: Ohana at the Polynesian (breakfast w Lilo and Stitch), Crystal Palace (breakfast, lunch and dinner with Winnie the Pooh and friends), Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club (breakfast with Chip, Dale, and Minnie), Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom (breakfast and lunch with Donald and friends), Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios (breakfast and lunch with Disney Junior characters) and 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian (breakfast with Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter). These are all good options depending on your son's interests.

If you're arriving late, you may want to sleep in a bit on your first day, so that the little one is not cranky during his first impressions of the parks. If you do this, be sure to make some FastPass+ reservations so you'll have fewer lines to contend with in the afternoon.

As for activities, many boys love the Pirate's League in the Magic Kingdom. This involves getting made up like a pirate at and learning to speak like a pirate. There are also pirate cruises available at several of the Disney resorts.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
