We are visiting WDW in July 09. I have a 6 and 8 year old. Should we wear sneakers to visit the parks since we will be doing a lot of walking. Or is it too hot to wear socks and sneakers?

    Hi there Michelle!

I love your question!  Lots of people swear by socks and sneakers in the parks all year round.  If your children and you are comfortable wearing "sneaks", by all means go for it.  I'm a flip-flop girl, and bought the most comfy, squishy, athletic-style ones I could find (my search was extensive, and therefore, I justified purchasing a pair in five different colors!)  My kids love their Crocs, complete with Disney jibbitz (which you can buy in the parks, of course!)  My hubby opts for a pair of leather sandals, that are well broken in and have walked hundreds of miles in the theme parks. The bottom line is, I recommend that everyone's tootsies be outfitted in whatever blister-proof footwear they are most comfortable in and can walk in for extended periods of time.

You'll see people in the parks in all of the options I discussed.  I've even seen women in heels and men in dress shoes.  My feet would be screaming for bandaids and a break after ten steps, but hey, whatever works for you is great!

Whatever your perfect park-shoe, I hope your feet help you explore countless new adventures and make lots of new memories with your family.  Have a wonderful trip!
