We will be visiting WDW in 1/1-1/5/16. My husband and I have stayed at WDW Swan several times. The couple we are coming with and their children, ages 4 and 8 have never been to WDW. Would you recommend the Swan or the Wilderness Lodge for the kids?

    Hi Sheila,
Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I've got to tell you, I love staying onsite at the Walt Disney World Resort. Between the 60-day FastPass+ window, the on-site child care centers (the Cub's Den is right inside Disney's Wilderness Lodge, so you could enjoy a dinner just for adults while the kids are well cared for right in your resort), complimentary Magic Bands and the resort concierge if you need extra assistance during your stay, there are so many advantages to staying on property. You don't need to rent a car (Disney's Magical Express will bring you from the Orlando Airport to your resort and they will even have your luggage delivered for you) and Disney's transportation is top notch, with bus service taking you everywhere you need to go. Not to mention that your parking fees are included with your room, so if you do rent a car and drive to the theme parks, you don't have to pay separately for parking.

I've got to confess, I'm completely and totally biased-for me, Disney's Wilderness Lodge is the way to go!

Sheila, I hope you have a magical vacation!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
