Visiting WDW for the first time 1/17-1/22. Would love to know what you recommend for character dining for an 11 yo daughter and 7 yo son. Thanks!

    Hi Ginger,

I have an eleven-year-old too and he has been enjoying the character dining experiences since he was five, so hopefully I can suggest some meals that both of your kids will enjoy.

    Chef Mickey's
at Disney's Contemporary Resort is a classic character dining experience.  My son loves the buffet there and particularly enjoys getting his picture taken with Chip, Dale, and "the big cheese" himself.  My son also enjoys watching the monorail glide through the resort while he is eating.  You can't go wrong with this dining experience.

If your kids are big fans of Winnie the Pooh and friends, then make a reservation for a meal at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom. If Alice in Wonderland and the Madhatter are more their preference, then a meal at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort would be an excellent choice.  My personal favorite is a meal with that mischievous alien, Stitch, at O'hana in Disney's Polynesian Resort.

As soon as you decide where you would like to eat, call (407) WDW-DINE to make a reservation.  Since the time of your trip is fast approaching, you may want to have more than one restaurant picked out in case your first choice is not available.

Have a wonderful time visiting the characters.  I'm sure you'll have a lovely time and a delicious meal.
