    Lyndsey from West Yorkshire Asked

We will be visiting WDW in February. During our stay the Winter Olympics will commence - is there anyway that way may be able to watch certain sports (ice hockey)? Will our hotel room (Port Orleans Riverside) have tv channels showing the games?

Hello Lyndsey and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel where it's always super fun for me to assist other Guest visiting Walt Disney World Resort from the United Kingdom.
I can just imagine how excited you must be beginning to feel now your February jolly holiday to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is right around the river bend, I know I love it when my own counter gets down into the lower digits!
My dear husband is a keen sports fan and like you is eagerly awaiting the start of PyeongChang 2018 Winter Olympics which commences on 9th February. My top recommendation for a fun spot which may indeed show Olympic sporting events such as the super popular ice hockey games is the ESPN Club located on Disney's BoardWalk; this super sporting themed bar and dining spot has 100+ video monitors (even in the bathrooms!) so you're sure never to miss a minute of the game. My top tip is that if ESPN Club isn't showing the sport you're looking for, simply enquire with a Cast Member who I'm sure will be glad to advise!
My family loves checking out all the American TV channels on our Resort hotel room television and I'm happy to share there is quite a variety of channels to choose from including several dedicated sports ones which I can only assume will include coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics in their schedules.
Wishing you an extra magical February visit to Walt Disney World Resort where you won't want to miss checking out Epcot International Festival of the Arts
    Have a great Disney day.
