We will be visiting WDW in Feb 2013 with our nearly 8 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son, SHould we consider a stroller? FOr one or both? One of the guides that I read suggested strollers for 7 and under?

    Hi Sonya!

I would definitely suggest a stroller for your 4 year-old.  We stopped using strollers when my youngest turned 7.  Until that time, we would rent a double stroller at the parks.  That way our youngest could ride in it a majority of the time, and when our oldest was tired, he could take a rest.  It's also a great place to store purchases and bags when you are walking around.   I also have to say that the strollers they rent with the big wheels are MUCH better at handling the park traffic. When you rent it there, you don't have to fool with it getting on and off the buses.  Your 4 year-old can handle that much!

Disney World does require a lot of walking.  We were there last week, and my oldest son wore a "fitbit" pedometer.  It showed that we walked nearly 9 miles in one day.  That is a lot!  Of course, my boys are 9 and 12 now, so we get there early and shut the parks down.   You may have a more laid back plan to playing at the parks.

Your 8 year-old should be fine to walk on her own, but  may appreciate a few breaks here and there!

Please let me know if you have any other questions, and have a magical trip!!
