We will be visiting WDW at the end of July. The men in our party are very concerned about the heat. What advice do you have to "beat the heat" while in the parks.

Hi Emily, while July is typically very hot in Orlando, there are definitely some things you can do to beat the heat.  First, I'd recommend that you head out early in the morning, when the parks open.  That's typically the coolest time of the day, and you can get a lot done.  Also, freeze some bottled water and bring them with you into the park.  As it gets warmer, the ice will melt but the water will still be nice and cool.

Plan to visit indoor attractions and shops during the afternoon hours when it's warmest.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort, take a break during the hottest hours of 12-3 and visit the hotel pool.

I also recommend that you bring hats to keep your head and face shaded, constantly apply sunscreen, and consider a fan that will spritz water.

    Have a great vacation!
