Will be visiting WDW for Easter weekend this year. What types of Easter themed events or parades are there? First time ever that we are visiting this time of year and very excited.

Hi Beth! Traveling to Walt Disney World during a holiday will find the largest crowds but also extra magic that you otherwise would not experience.

The weeks on either side of Easter weekend will bring many guests to this destination. It is very important that you get your dining reservations done well in advance. Easter brunch is a special dining opportunity at many of the restaurants and Easter dinner is just as popular. Make sure you get this done now if you have not already.

Disney offers many fun things to see and do at this time of year. Of course nothing has been announced for the 2017 holiday time but I can relate what has happened in the past. Disney can add and delete things quickly but usually there is always something going on.

In 2016 guests had the opportunity to enjoy the Egg-stravaganza in Epcot. You would hunt for the special Disney themed eggs in the park using a map. The Magic Kingdom will also have an Easter Day time parade where the Easter bunny reigns supreme. My absolute favorite Easter activity is to head to the Grand Floridian where many of the great Disney chefs have decorated beyond fabulous Easter Eggs. These will all have a Disney theme and are worth a trip to view them in the resort lobby.

Many of the resorts will have their recreation cast members also plan some children's activities such as egg hunts and you will find out more about that when you check into your resort. Most resorts will also offer Easter baskets for sale to the guests or you can contact Disney Floral and Gifts to do something special.
