Christmas on Main Street

We are visiting WDW in early Nov. Which is when the parks will be in the process of changing everything over to Christmas decorations and lights. I'm afraid that we will miss out on certain activities and attractions because of this.

    Hi Cynthia!

One of my favorite times of the year at the Walt Disney World Resort is the holiday season!  Even though there is already so much magic, all of the beautiful decorations and lights make the magic sparkle even brighter!  Our wedding anniversary is in early November, so we usually visit around that time to celebrate.  We have always been able to enjoy all of the decorations without having any trouble with attraction closures.  Because there is not a set date for when the decorating "switch" will happen, you may not see holiday decorations, but in my experience, you should.  Holiday decorations usually spring up in the first week or two of November!

Because the Disney magic is so real, if you happen to be there on the right day, you can go to sleep with Halloween decorations and wake up with Christmas decorations!  The magical Disney fairies sprinkle most of their pixie dust throughout the parks and resorts while you are sleeping so that you will be able to enjoy all of the magical attractions while you are there!  Ride closures are typically avoided, unless they are absolutely necessary for something like maintenance or refurbishment.  For a list of scheduled ride closures, keep an eye on the interactive park calendar.  You can also keep an eye on the My Disney Experience mobile app for unplanned closures, as they do happen on occasion.

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
