We will be visiting WDW during the week surrounding Father's Day. I've searched and searched but cannot find any special Father's Day events on 6/19/2011. Am I missing something? TIA for your assistance!

Hi, Dara! There is so much you can do to celebrate your hubby. Please allow me to live vicariously through you and him for the duration of my reply to your question. For anyone else riding along to our exchange, these suggestions also have good crossover potential for mini-mancations.

Richard Petty Driving Experience. He can do a ride along or get behind the wheel and drive himself. I had never driven stick before and even I was able to figure it out and get the car doing multiple laps at 115+ mph.

Golf. Disney World has five golf courses. Check out the Disney Golf webpage to learn more about each one and to book a tee time. I'm not much of a golfer (understatement of the year,) so something like one of the mini golf courses would be more of my cup o' tea.

Steak dinner. Men eat steaks. 'Nuff said. Some of the best on property can be found at Le Cellier, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Citricos and bluezoo.

World Showcase. Strolling around World Showcase at night is my idea of an awesome way to celebrate a birthday. Make special stops for him, including La Cava del Tequila in Mexico, Karamell Kuche in Germany and Grand Marnier and Grey Goose slushies in France.

Pamper him. Let him get a MANi-pedi at one of Disney World's spas. If nails aren't his thing, you could goad him into a gentlemen's facial.

Let him be king of the morning. He gets to pick out the first three attractions you hit that morning.
