I am visiting WDW in Dec. 2013 with a total of 9 people. 4 adults, 5 children. Since we aren't members of DVC we are having a really hard time deciding where to stay. The monorail would be great for travel. Thoughts on other options? What about DBC?

    Hi Anthony,

You don't need to be a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member to stay in DVC-owned properties.  A two-bedroom villa at Bay Lake Tower would be a fabulous place to stay for your party of nine.  There's nothing quite like having the ability to walk to the front gates of the Magic Kingdom directly from your resort.  Having the option to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot is nice too.

If you wish to stay on the monorail line, but not in a DVC resort, then consider booking two rooms at Disney's Polynesian Resort.  These deluxe rooms comfortably accommodate five each.  I love the pool, beach, and restaurants at this beautifully themed resort.

And yes, Disney's Beach Club Resort is an incredible option if being close to two Disney theme parks (Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios) appeals to you.  The pool complex (Stormalong Bay) at this resort is amazing.  If you have kids (or adults) who can appreciate a shipwreck-themed water slide, then you can't really do better than to book two deluxe rooms at Disney's Yacht or Beach Club Resorts.  The theming at these resorts is more subtle but nonetheless gorgeous.

Let us know if you need any additional information as you make your decision between resorts.

    Thanks for a great question.
